Picture number 26704 26704 28/12/40 972 E1r New Cross. This car was built in 1907. In December 1935 it was rehabilitated. It was destroyed in the bombing of New Cross Depot on 21/12/40 and scrapped in January 1941.
Notes say that this car was fitted with English Electric controllers.
Picture number 26705 26705 15/5/40 E1. Poplar Depot This photograph shew the depot being converted to trolleybus operation. The trams are on temporary track and trolleybus wiring is installed. Notice the trolleybus turntable in the traverser pit in the forground.
