This car is at the junction of the New Kent Road facing Tower Bridge Road waiting for the traffic lights to change when it will turn left into Old Kent Road passing the "Bricklayers Arms" Pub.
This area has been completely changed by the construction of a roundabout and flyover in the 1960's.
E1 588 was built in 1930 using trucks and other equipment from a 'G' class subway car as can be seen by the wider than normal lower deck centre pillar. It waas scrapped in June 1952. |
